“We are trying to collect as much survey data as we possibly can from the community about what they think about this project,” said Ecology Action’s Amelia Conlen. (Kevin Painchaud / Lookout Santa Cruz)
“The purpose is the bike lanes to try to make it more comfortable to increase the amount of people that actually use the bike lanes, and then same with the crosswalks,” said Russell Chen, a senior civil engineer with Santa Cruz County. “It’s all for pedestrian and bike safety.”
