This week’s press conference came as Santa Cruz County readies itself for the prospect of moving into the less-restrictive “red tier” next week. Also, Gov. Gavin Newsom’s office announced that California will be changing the way vaccine doses are allocated and how COVID-19 restriction tiers are calculated.
