County confirms three more COVID-19 deaths, bringing total to 32

Three more people have died of COVID-19 in Santa Cruz County, health officials confirmed Wednesday morning.

This brings the official county death toll for the pandemic to 32. The patients were two women and one man, ranging in age from mid-80s to early 90s.

Two of the fatalities were related to the outbreak at the Santa Cruz Post Acute nursing home, and the source of the infection for the third was unknown.

The deaths occurred on Nov. 23, 24, and 25. The county releases the details of the deaths in aggregate to maintain anonymity.
