WATCH: County health leadership gives weekly update on virus, vaccines

Santa Cruz County health leaders provided an update on the status of vaccine dissemination and the virus at a 2 p.m. press conference.

The press conference comes a day after Santa Cruz County Health Officer Dr. Gail Newel joined forces with the health chiefs of seven other Bay Area counties to decry the slow trickle of vaccine doses coming from the state that has resulted in the inability to innoculate all the people ages 65 and up.

Meanwhile, latest available data from a state dashboard reveals that 32,080 doses have been administered in Santa Cruz County so far.
