Jean Yi recently graduated from Stanford University with a bachelor’s in human biology. Originally from Los Angeles, she’s done local reporting in both southern California and the Bay Area and is thrilled to check out Santa Cruz for the first time. At Lookout, she focuses on data and visual journalism. Previously, she interned at the data-focused national news outlet FiveThirtyEight and the investigations desk at KNBC, her local NBC station in Los Angeles.
