Isabel Swafford (she/her) is a master’s student in UC Santa Cruz’s Science Communication program. Joining Lookout as an intern for the winter quarter, Isabel wants to uncover the scientific stories weaving through Santa Cruz life.
With an eye toward the night sky, Isabel completed her bachelor’s degree in astrophysics and English at Caltech in the spring of 2022. Seeking ways to merge these two passions, she dove into science communication.
Interested in multimedia storytelling, Isabel wants to contribute to Lookout’s written and visual journalism via news stories and on social media.
