Roadwork is affecting traffic near you

  • Today, there was a traffic issue on SR-17 North near Granite Creek because of a live, injured deer on the road. It was first seen in the second lane and on the right side. To keep traffic moving and for safety, the deer had to be safely removed from the area. Traffic was controlled with breaks to help vehicles get around the problem.
  • Some lanes on North SR-17 at the Scott Valley Overcrossing are closed off and on because of electrical work. This started on June 8 and will end on June 11.
  • A lane on South SR-17 near Mt Hermon/Glen Canyon is closed because of electrical work. This started on June 8 and will end on June 11.
  • Long-term projects: Highway 17, 1.5 miles north of Scotts Valley near Vine Hill Rd. in Santa Cruz County, started having overnight lane closures yesterday for a project to replace a deteriorating culvert.
