Local candidates in the November general election filed their latest pre-election campaign finance forms on Thursday. The candidates and ballot measure committees are required to file campaign statements by specific deadlines, disclosing the contributions they have received and the expenditures they have made.
Santa Cruz mayoral candidate Ryan Coonerty has raised far and away the most of any local candidate vying for city office in the most recent fundraising period, just shy of $49,000. His opponent, Ami Chen Mills, has raised just over $14,000 so far, but had not filed a disclosure form for the most recent fundraising period as of Friday afternoon.
