Bike Santa Cruz County is gearing up for its latest community bike ride this weekend in the Seabright neighborhood of Santa Cruz. The free, family-friendly Social & Family Ride will start from Frederick Street Park on Saturday at 10 a.m., with bagels, juice and coffee provided.
The Social & Family Ride makes way for social opportunities for the whole family, encourages sustainability-focused transportation and physical exercise, and teaches bike safety tips.
The ride will descend the Arana Gulch trail into the west harbor area, travel south to Atlantic Avenue and over to the Santa Cruz Museum of Natural History. From there, it makes its way back to Frederick Street Park. Registration and bike check will be at 10 a.m. The ride begins at 10:30 a.m., returning to the park at 11:30 a.m.
Nonprofit Bike Santa Cruz County works to make Santa Cruz County a place where cycling is a safe, respected, convenient and enjoyable mode of transportation and recreation for people of all ages and abilities.
