Capitola Police arrested a drunk driver for driving under the influence on Saturday.
On the evening of Jan. 11, a Capitola police officer was conducting speed enforcement near 41st Avenue and Highway 1 when a Honda sped past going close to 100 mph and swerving into other lanes of traffic.
Police arrested the driver for under the influence after the car sped by while failing to maintain lanes and swerving. The driver was “driving extremely impaired,” police said in a Facebook post.
Police did not provide any information on the person charged.
