Scotts Valley Police Department detectives arrested a 33-year-old Los Banos man after they say he allegedly contacted a minor he previously assaulted.

Ryan Brown was re-booked into Santa Cruz County Jail on charges of stalking, contacting a minor with intent for sex and violation of parole.

Brown was convicted of multiple counts of sex crimes against a minor in 2023. He was released on parole Dec. 26 after serving two years in prison.

Seven days after being released from jail, police alleged he contacted the same victim he had previously assaulted in an attempt to meet up for sexual acts.

Scotts Valley detectives, assisted by California state parole agents, located Brown and took him into custody in Salinas. His court date is currently pending.
