Property development

  • A permit application has been filed for a project at 2378 Harper St., Santa Cruz, proposing the demolition of two existing homes on the property. The project would subdivide the lot into eight separate parcels and construct eight new dwelling units. The plan requires approvals for subdivision, planned unit development and preliminary grading, and will also undergo reviews of soils, biotic and arborist reports as part of the application process.   • Police arrested several people for fraud and drug-related charges, including having a bad check, drug paraphernalia, controlled substances and stolen mail. The incident happened near Jessie Street and Barson Street, Santa Cruz, at 1 p.m. on April 27. (source)
