Hillary Ojeda reports from Watsonville High School, where two students and a staff member were injured in a stabbing and related attacks on Thursday. Four students between ages 14 and 16 were arrested and face multiple felony charges, with police investigating any connection to a recent on-campus gun arrest.
Down the coast, Lily Belli takes us to Moss Landing to learn about a new culinary partnership. The Landing is a lunch and dinner spot from Post Ranch Inn veteran chef Todd Williamson and Capitola Vin Vivant sommelier Ryan Cooley. It officially opened this week in the Power Plant.
And speaking of power – there’s potentially good news for Mid-County residents who’ve been plagued by frequent outages. At a packed community meeting Thursday night at Seascape Resort, PG&E officials told frustrated locals that the utility expects to have the area’s local substation back online by Monday, with plans to reroute circuits away from heavily wooded zones north of Highway 1. Max Chun reports the changes should mean fewer and shorter outages for a community that has experienced regular blackouts since the summer.
