Roadwork is affecting traffic in the region

  • Highway 9 is facing closures in both directions at Pool Drive for bridge work. The closure is expected to end on July 2.

  • Alternating lanes are closed on Highway 9 at Riverdale Park because of bridge work. The closure will last until April 30, 2027.

  • Highway 9 at Cascade Avenue has one-way traffic because of ongoing work. This closure will last until Aug. 31.

  • One lane on north Highway 9 at Two Bar Road is closed for bridge work. The closure will last until July 2.

  • One lane is closed on south Highway 9 at Graham Hill/Bennett St. because of shoulder work. The closure will last until 3:59 p.m. today.

  • There is one-way traffic on Highway 236 at Moon Drive because of tree removal. This is expected to end at 1:30 p.m. today.

Property code violations

County officials cite property owners for issues such as substandard housing, illegal uses of buildings, property maintenance, abandoned appliances or furniture, construction without permits, and other issues that affect public safety and quality of life.

  • A code violation notice has been issued for the property at 1138 El Solyo Heights Dr., Felton, according to case number NV25377. The violation concerns the construction of an over 30-foot-high deck or platform on the property without obtaining the required permits from the county. Building such a large elevated structure without proper approvals is a violation of local building codes and regulations.

No crimes to report today

We checked with local police and there were no new incidents to report.
