Community crime report

  • At 11 p.m. on August 19, there was an incident near the 100 Block of Marin St in Watsonville. It involved someone carrying a loaded gun in public. Additionally, a young person was caught with live ammunition illegally and also had cannabis on them. (source)
  • A 67-year-old man was arrested early in the morning at 2 a.m. on August 20 near the 100 Block of W Beach St in Watsonville. He was taken into custody because there was a misdemeanor warrant out for his arrest. However, he was given a citation and released with a new date to appear in court. (source)
  • A 40-year-old man was arrested, given a citation, and then released for a minor legal issue due to a previous court order. This happened at 9 p.m. on August 19, near Beck St south of Baron Ct in Watsonville. (source)
  • A local police officer was involved in a situation where someone showed a dangerous weapon (not a gun), damaged property worth less than $400, and physically attacked another person. This happened at 4 p.m. on August 19 near the 100 Block of W Beach St in Watsonville. (source)
  • A 48-year-old man was arrested for damaging property at a district building in Watsonville. The incident, where property worth $400 or more was vandalized, happened at 9 p.m. on August 17, near the 200 Block of Green Valley Rd. The man was then taken to jail. (source)
