Roadwork is affecting traffic near you

  •  A lane on westbound Highway 152 at Clifford Drive/Ohlone Parkway is closed for asphalt paving. The closure is scheduled to last until July 3.
     
  • A lane on eastbound Highway 129 at Union Street is closed for utility work. The closure is scheduled to end today at 3:01 p.m.
     

Community crime report

  • A local resident reported getting a fake phone call from someone pretending to be a bank fraud investigator. The caller tricked the resident into giving out personal bank account information and stole over $1,000. This happened near the 400 block of Hill Avenue, Watsonville, at 10 a.m. on April 8.   • A vehicle was taken without the owner’s consent (vehicle theft, felony) near the 100 block of Rockins Lane, Watsonville, at 3 a.m. on April 20. (source)
     
  • A person made a threatening comment toward their neighbor, which is considered a felony criminal threat. The incident happened near the 100 block of Ford Street, Watsonville, at 4 p.m. on April 20. The suspect was not found and is believed to be living outside the area. (source)
     
  • A person was arrested for violating three restraining orders, which is considered contempt of court for disobeying a court order. The incident happened near the 100 block of Gardner Avenue in Watsonville at 11 p.m. on April 20. (source)
