Oregon-based comedy troupe Puppeteers for Fears will bring its original sci-fi puppet rock musical “Robopocalypse: The Musical” to Felton Music Hall on Thursday, Aug. 21.
Described as “Muppets meet Rocky Horror,” the troupe is known for blending horror, science fiction and comedy with live music and elaborate puppetry. Now in its ninth season and seventh tour, the group will perform its cyberpunk tale of artificial intelligence gone rogue, backed by a live analog synth band and featuring a cast of eight puppeteers and musicians.
Founded and directed by Josh Gross, Puppeteers for Fears has carved a niche performing feature-length original musicals with handmade puppets and a punk-theater spirit.
