Thirty-four years ago, K&D Landscaping was just getting its wheels on the ground. With a pickup truck and a lawnmower, there was a steep journey ahead of this husband and wife team. Through persistence, dedication, and a wheel barrel full of passion, K&D has developed and grown into a successful and booming landscape company here on the Central Coast. Covering land from Carmel Valley to Scotts Valley, K&D has reached the lives of many happy and satisfied individuals across the area. With pride that runs deep, this family-owned, and operated company is paving a new path in the industry.
K&D is not in business to be just another landscaper, our purpose is to RAISE THE BAR! We uphold a set of six core values that guide every position and decision within K&D: Professionalism, Teamwork, Humility, Respect, Hunger & Safety. These values shape the culture not just between employees, but with customers as well. Our clients have come to expect only the best in service and professionalism from our team, which has propelled us into growth and success. The customer’s vision becomes our passion, and we’re devoted to enhancing their quality of life through these outdoor spaces.
Community Beautification:
Through collaborations with non-profit organizations and schools, we are dedicated to giving back to the people and youth one month at a time. By donating 100% of the labor and material costs to those in need, we see it as an opportunity to thank the community which has provided so much to us.
Getting to see the faces of the people this benefits after the project is complete makes our whole team smile! We understand the time it demands and the financial burden it can create, so to help everyone participate, our employees are still compensated for their work on these projects even though K&D does not receive any revenue. With several Beautifications completed each year, these projects continue to make an impact on countless sites throughout the Santa Cruz county area. From historical houses, to women and children shelters, to vegetable garden boxes at elementary schools and even county parks, the team at K&D strongly believes in giving back to the community that has given so much to them. One of the largest undertakings K&D has been fortunate enough to sponsor was the Chanticleer Park in Live Oak, better known as “Leo’s Haven”.
Our CEO himself contributed countless hours of volunteer time to complete the project. He was able to leverage the resources of K&D in addition to his relationships with eight other local companies in donating materials to make the park a reality.
Recent Project:
K&D was honored to pair up with a local girl scout and her vision to pay it forward by providing an outdoor sanctuary for the mothers and children at Siena House in Santa Cruz. We understand a beautiful landscape not only transforms one’s outdoor environment, but it can impact internal peace and happiness, for which there is no price tag.
