With summer kicking off, Watsonville will be hosting free live outdoor performances at its downtown plaza, 350 Main St., starting Friday.
Concerts will run from 6 to 8 p.m. on the first and third Fridays of each month.
The lineup for this year’s Music in the Plaza include:
- June 20: La Fiera Norteña
- July 18: Edwin y su Grupo Elite
- Aug. 1: New Wave Band
- Aug. 15: Selena music tribute
- Sept. 5: Banda, Banda, Banda
- Sept. 19: Sixth Street Alternative
The city encourages concertgoers to consider food and refreshments from the downtown Watsonville farmers market, which runs from 2 to 7 p.m., or dinner at one of downtown’s restaurants before or after the show.
