  4. OK, so you’ve skated on Cabrillo Stage for a few years — now’s the time to re-engage with the dazzling, hip-hop musical “In the Heights.”
  5. Muscular, rootsy and soulful, and always quintessentially American, Alejandro Escovedo is an unjustly overlooked musical talent worth discovering. 
  6. What’s the greatest rock concert film of the last 40 years? C’mon, you know the answer to that.
  7. Opening night is still a week away, but Santa Cruz Shakespeare is ready to launch its preview performances of Oscar Wilde’s “The Importance of Being Earnest.” 
  8. Oh, and that goes for Shakespeare’s “As You Like It” too.
  9. You’ve heard the sophisticated and swank sound of Acoustic Alchemy for more than 30 years. Now you can hear it live and in the intimate setting of Kuumbwa.
