Hear local muralist and former county artist of the year Yermo Aranda discuss his current exhibition at the Santa Cruz Art League this Saturday from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Aranda’s work embodies his deep reverence for the natural world and his Mexican and Indigenous roots. The talk will be hosted by Val Miranda, director of the Mary Porter Sesnon Art Gallery at UC Santa Cruz, alongside paintings, drawings and mural projects as Aranda reflects on the interconnection among humanity, nature and spirit.
