Local homelessness nonprofit Housing Matters will be the beneficiary of a tribute to Bob Dylan at the Kuumbwa Jazz Center later this month to help raise money for its shelters and other programs.

Although this event will be in honor of one of America’s most influential songwriters, its main focus is to raise money to support programs and organizations that aim to help Santa Cruz’s homeless population get off the street and into homes, including the organizations’s Rebele Family Shelter and two permanent supportive housing projects, Casa Azul and Harvey West Studios.

The Nov. 21 performance will feature full music from Dylan albums such as “Blood on the Tracks” and “Desire.” The lineup includes Dylan aficionados like Matt Hartle, Larry Graff, Anna Elva, Dan Robbins, Jim Lewin, Diana Z, Dan Frechette, Tatiana & Treetop and Elijja McCullers.

Concertgoers of all ages are welcome to attend. The event starts at 7:30 p.m., with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. Tickets will be $33 at the door, $29 in advance. Click here for tickets and more information.
