Road incidents as of 8:30 p.m. on Feb. 21
- A traffic collision happened at the intersection of River St and Highway 1. Emergency services were on their way. Southbound Highway 9 at Encinal and northbound Highway 1 near Highway 9 were closed. The California Highway Patrol was managing the situation and providing updates throughout the evening.
- A lane on South Highway 1 at Soquel Drive is closed for landscape work. The closure will last until 11:59 p.m. on March 31.
Long-term projects
These have been going on for a while, but are still worth keeping in mind.
- Green Valley Road in Watsonville, from Holohan Road to Casserly Road, is experiencing single lane closures due to a Multi-Use Trail Improvement Project. - A single lane on Little Basin Rd in San Lorenzo Valley is closed from December 23 to April 25, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. This closure is for the construction of two retaining walls and will cause traffic delays.
- Little Basin Road near Big Basin Way in San Lorenzo Valley is having storm damage repairs. This is causing single lane closures and traffic delays from January 16 to May 13, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., weather permitting.
