LOCAL RACES

County supervisor results

Capitola City Council results

There are two seats up for election, so the top two vote-getters will be elected.

Scotts Valley City Council results

There are three seats up for election, so the top three vote-getters will be elected.

Watsonville City Council results

Eduardo Montesino and Vanessa Quiroz-Carter are running unopposed in Districts 1 and 2, respectively. District 6 is the only contested race.

LOCAL MEASURES

Measure Q results

Measure Q is the Santa Cruz County Water and Wildfire Protection Initiative. It requires a simple majority of votes cast, or 50% plus 1, to pass.

Measure Z results

Measure Z is the City of Santa Cruz Sugar-Sweetened Beverage Tax. It requires a simple majority of votes cast, or 50% plus 1, to pass.

Measure X results

Measure X is the Scotts Valley Business Tax Measure. It needs a simple majority of votes cast, or 50% plus 1, to pass.

Measure Y results

Measure Y is the City of Capitola Sales Tax. It needs a simple majority of votes cast, or 50% plus 1, to pass.

School district measure results

Measure D is the Aromas-San Juan School District bond. It needs at least 55% of the votes cast to pass. The total includes voters from Santa Cruz, San Benito and Monterey counties.

Measure L is the Bonny Doon Elementary School District bond. It needs at least 55% of the votes cast to pass.

Measure M is the Pajaro Valley Unified School District bond. It needs at least 55% of the votes cast to pass.

Measure N is the Live Oak School District Bond. It needs at least 55% of the votes cast to pass.

Measure O is the Scotts Valley School District bond. It needs at least 55% of the votes cast to pass.

Measure P is the Soquel Union Elementary School District bond. It needs at least 55% of the votes cast to pass.

Measure HH is the Lakeside Joint School District Parcel Tax. It needs at least two-thirds of the votes cast, or 66.67%, to pass. The total includes voters from Santa Cruz and Santa Clara Counties.

Fire district measure results

Measure R is the Central Fire District bond. It needs at least two-thirds of the votes cast, or 66.67%, to pass. However, if state Proposition 5 passes concurrently, it will need only 55%.

Measure S is the Scotts Valley Fire Protection District bond. It needs at least two-thirds of the votes cast, or 66.67%, to pass. However, if state Proposition 5 passes concurrently, it will need only 55%.

Measure T is the Zayante Fire Protection District tax. It needs at least two-thirds of the votes cast, or 66.67%, to pass.

Measure U – San Lorenzo Valley Water District Fixed Charge Limitation Ordinance

Measure U needs a simple majority of votes cast, or 50% plus 1, to pass.

Watsonville city measures

Measure V is the Commission Service charter amendment for the City of Watsonville . It needs a simple majority of votes cast, or 50% plus 1, to pass.

Measure W is the Charter Update for the City of Watsonville. It needs a simple majority of votes cast, or 50% plus 1, to pass.

SCHOOL BOARDS

West Valley-Mission Community College District, Trustee Area 5 results

The total includes voters from Santa Cruz and Santa Clara counties.

Lakeside Joint Elementary School District results

There are two seats up for election, so the top two vote-getters will be elected. The total includes voters from Santa Cruz and Santa Clara counties.

Pajaro Valley Unified School District, trustee Areas 2, 3 and 6 results

Trustee Area 3 includes voters from Santa Cruz and Monterey counties.

Scotts Valley Unified School District results

There are three seats up for election, so the top three vote-getters will be elected.

FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICTS

Aromas Tri-County Fire: There are two seats up for election, so the top two vote-getters will be elected. The total includes voters from Santa Cruz, San Benito and Monterey counties.

Boulder Creek Fire: There are three seats up for election, so the top three vote-getters will be elected.

Felton Fire: There are three seats up for election, so the top three vote-getters will be elected.

Scotts Valley Fire: There are three seats up for election, so the top three vote-getters will be elected.

NATIONAL AND STATE LEGISLATURE RESULTS

U.S. Senate

U.S. Representative in Congress, 18th and 19th Districts

The 18th District includes voters from Santa Cruz, Santa Clara, San Benito and Monterey Counties.

The 19th District includes voters from Santa Cruz, Santa Clara, Monterey and San Luis Obispo Counties.

State Senate, 17th District

The 17th District includes voters in Santa Cruz, Santa Clara, San Luis Obispo and Monterey Counties.

State Assembly, 28th, 29th and 30th Districts

The 28th District includes voters in Santa Cruz and Santa Clara Counties.

The 29th District includes voters in Santa Cruz, Santa Clara, San Benito and Monterey Counties.

The 30th District includes voters in Santa Cruz, Monterey and San Luis Obispo Counties.
