Join an Earth Day celebration
Our team at Sempervirens Fund is excited to celebrate Earth Day with you and people around the world on April 22, 2022 for the Hug-a-Tree Challenge, presented by REI. Together, we will establish a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS ® title for most pictures of a person hugging a tree uploaded to Instagram in one hour. On April 22, from Noon-1 PM PST you will be able to participate, celebrate trees and nature, and set a world record. Save the date!
If you are new to Instagram, come follow us and be sure to set your profile to “public” for the big day, so you can be counted. Here are some other important tips to help you make the most of your record-setting contribution:
- Set up your Instagram account and make it public
- Take a photo of one person hugging a tree
- Set your calendar to post the photo—with hashtag #HugATreeChallenge—on April 22, from 12 – 1 p.m. PST.
