Thanks to President Donald Trump’s war of choice and tariffs, high prices of gas, groceries and housing continue to hurt families here in Santa Cruz. We are fortunate to be represented by Jimmy Panetta, who has been focused on reducing costs by moving serious legislation in Congress.
Some of his political opponents want to distract us, but Jimmy has produced clear legislative solutions that Democrats are unified behind to end the war in Iran, to lower gas and fertilizer prices, to reclaim Congress’ power over tariffs, to lower food prices and to bring in federal investment dollars to build affordable housing. Despite the political noise, Jimmy continues to do his job, push back on Trump’s disastrous policies and create policies that actually help people on the Central Coast.
There are many, many reasons why we support and the Sentinel endorsed Jimmy Panetta for Congress.
