The Live Oak Education foundation is hosting the 4th annual Live Oak Jack Rabbit event Saturday, April 26 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Shoreline Middle School. The event is a series of  one-mile races and relays to raise money for transitional kindergarten to 8th grade arts programs in the Live Oak School District.  

The event features a student art contest, fitness activities, live music from DJ Jahi and the Shoreline Middle School Band, a community partner expo, and local food vendors. 

Fitness activities include one-mile track races and relays conducted by the Santa Cruz Track Club and free fitness classes hosted by GOAT and SPENGA Santa Cruz. The community partner expo will include Santa Cruz Community Health, Cradle to Career, Central Fire, Santa Cruz County Sheriff, Zócalo Health, Free Books For Kids, and more. 

The event will host a wide range of local food vendors including: Skills of Life Cafe, Cakes with Care, Live Oak School District Child Nutrition Services, Life Oak School District Life Lab, Evil Wings, and Aparicio Family Ice Cream Truck
