Road incidents as of 9:30 p.m. on July 14

  • There was a construction-related traffic incident on Highway 1 North at Buena Vista in Watsonville/Pajaro. The California Highway Patrol, including Officer Sweet, helped manage the situation by separating vehicles. This was reported today.
     
  • Southbound lanes of Highway 1 in Capitola/Soquel are facing closures for roadwork. The closure will last until August 29 at 6:30 a.m.
     
  • A defective traffic signal was reported today at the intersection of Highway 9 and Glen Arbor Rd in San Lorenzo Valley. The issue was initially logged as informational but was later updated to a defective traffic signal incident by the California Highway Patrol.
     

Long-term projects

These have been going on for a while, but are still worth keeping in mind.

  • A single lane on Sims Road, between Brook Knoll Road and 600 La Madrona Drive, is closed for a pipeline project. The closure is in effect daily from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with traffic control measures in place.
     
  • Richmond Drive and Portola Drive at 24th Avenue in Eastside/Live Oak will have traffic delays and lane closures today from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. due to the Rodeo pump station capacity upgrade project. Construction will also take place on April 12-13 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day.
