Road incidents as of 8:30 p.m. on December 15

  • A white Volvo went off the road and hit a tree at 14325 Highway 9 in San Lorenzo Valley. The car ended up about 50 feet down an embankment. Airbags went off, and no injuries were reported. Both lanes were later closed to recover the vehicle. This was reported today.
     
  • There is a one-way traffic closure on South Highway 9 at Lorenzo Avenue in San Lorenzo Valley because of emergency work. The closure is expected to last until 3:59 p.m. on April 1, 2026.
     
  • There is one-way traffic control on Highway 9 at 13.4 Bear Creek Road in San Lorenzo Valley because of road work. The closure is expected to end at 3:59 p.m. today.
     
  • There was a traffic collision on northbound Highway 1 at Morrissey in the Eastside / Live Oak area. A black sedan and a white Toyota RAV were involved, with glass in the road and one man initially not moving. Emergency services were on the way, one lane (#3) was closed, and a tow truck was requested. The man was later seen walking away from the vehicle. The incident was reported today.
     
  • A traffic hazard was reported today at the intersection of Nelson Rd and Lockhart Gulch Rd in Scotts Valley, partially blocking the road.
