A 2,900-bed UC Santa Cruz student housing project has been delayed, Hillary Ojeda reports, with the Heller Drive component of the Student Housing West development now looking at breaking ground during the 2029-30 academic year – a significant delay to the university’s previous announced plans to have construction completed on the project by 2028.
