Roadwork is affecting traffic in the region
- A car hit a deer at 7701 E Zayante Rd at 6:13 a.m. today. No one was hurt, the car could still be driven, and the driver pulled over ahead of the scene. The deer was not blocking the road.
- Northbound Highway 9 at Prospect Avenue is down to one-way traffic because of emergency work. This closure is expected to last until 3:59 p.m. on December 5.
- Southbound Highway 17 near Sugarloaf Road in Santa Cruz County, Scotts Valley will be fully closed overnight on Saturday, October 25, from 9:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. Sunday morning. Crews will be repairing pavement and guardrails damaged by a recent tanker spill.
