Roadwork is affecting traffic in the region
- A lane on South Highway 1 at Soquel Drive is closed for landscape work. The closure is expected to end by 11:59 p.m. on March 31.
- Highway 1 between Soquel Ave. and 41st Ave. in Capitola/Soquel had a southbound lane closure yesterday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. for construction work on auxiliary lanes, bus-on-shoulder improvements, and a new bicycle path.
- Long-term projects: A single lane on Little Basin Rd is closed from December 23 to April 25, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., to build retaining walls, causing traffic delays. Additionally, Little Basin Rd near Big Basin Wy is undergoing storm damage repair, leading to single lane closures and traffic delays from January 16 to May 13, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., weather permitting.
