Roadwork is affecting traffic in the region

  • Southbound Highway 17 is facing closures for asphalt paving. The closure is expected to end at 5:01 p.m. tomorrow.
     
  • There is a one-way traffic closure on Highway 9 at Prospect Avenue in San Lorenzo Valley because of emergency work. The closure is expected to end at 3:59 p.m. tomorrow.
     
  • Long-term projects: A single lane will be closed on Sims Rd and La Madrona Drive from Brook Knoll Road to 600 La Madrona Drive between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. for a pipeline project by SCWD and SLVWD. Traffic control will be in place, and the closure is expected to last until February 2026.
     

Farmers’ market Saturday

The Scotts Valley Farmers’ Market has become a seasonal treasure to the local community and to those visiting the area looking for a place to slow down and unwind.
