Roadwork is affecting traffic near you
- Today, there was a car crash at San Andreas Rd / Beach Rd where two vehicles collided. One of the cars hit a post, and both ended up in a ditch. The people in the cars got out and mentioned they were breathing in smoke from one of the vehicles. Tow trucks have been called to get the vehicles out of the ditch.
- Today, a work truck hit a pole on San Juan Rd, causing the pole to lean. Luckily, no one was hurt. Although the road wasn’t blocked at first, it had to be closed for a bit because of live wires and the pole resting on the truck. PG&E is on it, fixing the issue. There are signs up telling drivers and big rigs to turn around for now.
- Long-term projects: On Holohan Road at the intersection with Highway 152 in Watsonville, there’s a single lane closed for road and signal upgrades. This is happening Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Expect slower speeds and lane closures during these times.
