Community crime report

  • A report was made about stolen firearms, classified as a felony for grand theft of money, labor, or property. This happened at 11 p.m. on April 1 near the 400 block of National St in Santa Cruz. (source)

Roadwork is affecting traffic in the region

  • A traffic collision involving two vehicles happened on Highway 1 North at the Freedom Blvd off-ramp in Aptos. Both vehicles were driveable, and there were no injuries. The vehicles were on the right-hand side of the road. The incident was reported today.
     
  • Alternating lanes on South Highway 1 at Soquel Drive are closed for a striping operation. The closure was expected to end at 5:59 a.m. today.
     
  • A lane on North / South Highway 9 at Pool Drive in San Lorenzo Valley is closed for electrical work. The closure is expected to end at 1:01 p.m. tomorrow.
