Caltrans has closed the Park Avenue off-ramp from northbound Highway 1 through noon ahead of a rain storm expected to begin later Monday.
The closure will allow crews to remove debris from drainage ditches before rain begins in order to prevent roadway flooding. Message boards will be stationed in the area directing drivers to the next available exit, State Park Drive.
The county is likely to see 2 to 2.5 inches of rain in lower elevations and up to 3.5 inches in the mountains through Wednesday.
