Santa Cruz Roller Derby will be honoring Mayor Fred Keeley with a special gift for his 75th birthday on Saturday, May 10, at the Santa Cruz Civic Auditorium.

Santa Cruz Roller Derby’s Boardwalk Bombshells will be playing Bay Area Roller Derby’s San Francisco Rolling Dead for their home bout. During halftime, Keeley – who goes by the moniker “Freaky Freddy” on the roller derby track – will be on skates rolling with the Boardwalk Bombshells.

Keeley will also help facilitate a raffle to support Santa Cruz Roller Derby. Prizes include a variety of items donated by local vendors.

Doors to the event will open at 6:15 p.m. and the game will start at 7 p.m. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased here.
