The Santa Cruz Police Department has arrested Miguel Casteneda Patino, 19, in connection with a shooting on Saturday near the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. He is facing an attempted murder charge.
SCPD made the arrest on Sunday shortly after 1 p.m., with help from the Santa Cruz County Anti-Crime Team and the Seaside Security Company.
SCPD officers responded to reports of a shooting in the area of Beach Street and Riverside Avenue. One adult victim was transported to a trauma center, and is currently in critical condition.
