You know the holiday season has official arrived in Santa Cruz County when Santa Claus ride the waves to Capitola Village.
Surfing Santa makes his annual pilgrimage to Capitola on Saturday. Swapping his trademark red attire for a wetsuit, Santa is set to arrive by outrigger canoe at Capitola Beach at noon. There, he’ll towel off, greet the crowd and settle into a beach chair on the Esplanade stage, where he’ll spend the next three hours talking to kids about their holiday wishes.
The free event is organized by local businesses and coincides with Small Business Saturday.
