Compared with some other large states, California is seeing some positive signs in fighting the latest coronavirus surge fueled by the Delta variant. As of Tuesday, California’s seven-day positivity rate was 4.6%, down from 5.8% two weeks ago. By contrast, Texas has a test positivity rate of 16%.
