The Watsonville City Council voted 4-1 in August to elevate Tamara Vides from interim to permanent city manager. Her appointment marks the first time a woman has held the position. Vides has worked for the City of Watsonville for more than 25 years in various positions, including assistant city manager and budget analyst for the parks department.

Watsonville Interim City Manager Tamara Vides up for permanent job
The Watsonville City Council will vote Tuesday on naming Tamara Vides as city manager. Vides has worked for the city for three decades, the last 15 years in various positions in the City Manager’s Office, including being named deputy city manager in 2018 and assistant city manager in October 2020. She was named interim city manager in April. She similarly served in an interim role in 2021.
