Road incidents as of 9:30 p.m. on June 19

  • There was a construction-related incident on Highway 1 North at the intersection with Buena Vista in Watsonville/Pajaro. The California Highway Patrol assisted with the situation. This was reported today.
     
  • South Highway 1 in Capitola/Soquel is facing closures for roadway excavation. The closure is expected to end at 6:30 a.m. on August 29.
     
  • There is maintenance work at the intersection of Highway 9 and Larkspur Street in San Lorenzo Valley, with assistance from the California Highway Patrol. This is expected to continue until 4:30 p.m. today.
     

Long-term projects

These have been going on for a while, but are still worth keeping in mind.

  • A single lane on Sims Road and La Madrona Drive, from Brook Knoll Road to 600 La Madrona Drive, is closed for the SCWD and SLVWD pipeline project. The closure is in effect daily from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with traffic control measures in place.
     
  • Richmond Drive and Portola Drive at 24th Avenue will have traffic delays and lane closures today from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. due to the Rodeo pump station capacity upgrade project. Construction will also take place on April 12-13 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day, weather permitting.
