Road incidents as of 8:30 p.m. on Feb. 25
- A gray Nissan 350 went off the road into heavy vegetation near a blind curve at Buena Vista Dr and Whiskey Hill Rd in Watsonville/Pajaro. Initially, it was unclear if there were any injuries, but it was later confirmed that there were none. Both lanes were closed to recover the vehicle, and a tow service was called. The car was about 20-30 feet off the road, and friends of the driver stopped in two vehicles. The California Highway Patrol and the Santa Cruz Sheriff’s Office handled the incident. This was reported today.
- A road closure was reported today at 589 Casserly Rd, extending to Smith Road at Mt Madonna in Corralitos/Freedom. PG&E is on the scene, and additional signs were requested to inform drivers of the closure ahead at Green Valley Rd. The California Highway Patrol is monitoring the situation and providing updates.
- A lane on South Highway 1 at Soquel Drive in the Eastside/Live Oak area is closed for landscape work. The closure will last until 11:59 p.m. on March 31.
