Road incidents as of 9:30 p.m. on May 12
- South Highway 1 at Buena Vista Drive in Watsonville / Pajaro is facing closures for pavement work. The closure is expected to end at 5:59 a.m. today.
- A lane on westbound SR-152 at Clifford Drive/Ohlone Parkway in Watsonville and Pajaro is closed for asphalt paving. The closure will last until July 3.
- Alternating lanes are closed on North Highway 1 at State Park Drive in Aptos because of bridge work. The closure is expected to end at 4:59 a.m. on May 15.
- Alternating lanes are closed on South Highway 1 at Bay Avenue in Capitola / Soquel because of bridge work. The closure is expected to end at 6:30 a.m. on May 15.
- There is one-way traffic on Highway 9 at Cascade Avenue in San Lorenzo Valley because of ongoing work. This is expected to end at 7:01 a.m. on August 31.
- There is one-way traffic on North Highway 9 in San Lorenzo Valley because of electrical work. The closure will last until 2:01 p.m. on May 14.
- CHP officers helped with construction at the intersection of Highway 1 South and Buena Vista in Watsonville / Pajaro. Officers Z77 and Z78 were assigned to the area, and assistance is expected to last until about 2:30 a.m. today.
Long-term projects
These have been going on for a while, but are still worth keeping in mind.
- A single lane will be closed on 41st Ave. near Safeway in Soquel from Monday night through Thursday morning for emergency sewer repairs. Traffic will be shifted during work hours and minimal delays are expected.
