Road incidents as of 9:30 p.m. on May 28

  • There was a traffic incident at the intersection of Highway 1 South and Buena Vista in Watsonville/Pajaro. The California Highway Patrol assisted with construction, and one unit stayed on site until about 12:30 a.m. The incident involved separate vehicles. It was reported today.
     
  • The southbound lanes of Highway 1 in Capitola/Soquel are facing closures for roadway excavation. This closure will continue until August 29 at 6:30 a.m.
     

Long-term projects

These have been going on for a while, but are still worth keeping in mind.

  • A single lane on Sims Road is closed today from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for a pipeline project. Traffic control is in place to manage vehicles between Brook Knoll Road and 600 La Madrona Drive.
     
  • Richmond Drive at Portola Drive and 24th Avenue is closed due to the Rodeo pump station capacity upgrade project. Expect traffic delays and lane closures on Richmond and Portola Drive, depending on the weather. Construction is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with specific work on April 12-13 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
