Road incidents as of 9:30 p.m. on Mar. 10

  • A vehicle rolled down a hill and collided with a fire hydrant at 3065 Marlo Ct in Aptos. Initially thought to be on top of the hydrant, it was later confirmed to be next to it. The vehicle had no headlights, and no injuries were reported. The incident was reported today.
     
  • A lane on South Highway 1 at Soquel Drive in Eastside/Live Oak is closed for landscape work. The closure will last until 11:59 p.m. on March 31.
     

Long-term projects

These have been going on for a while, but are still worth keeping in mind.

  • A single lane on Little Basin Rd in San Lorenzo Valley is closed from December 23 to April 25, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. This closure is for the construction of two retaining walls and will cause traffic delays.
     
  • Little Basin Road near Big Basin Way in San Lorenzo Valley is having storm damage repairs. This is causing single lane closures and traffic delays from January 16 to May 13, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., weather permitting.
