Road incidents as of 9:30 p.m. on May 22

  • A vehicle collided with a deer at the intersection of San Juan Rd and Ramadero Way in Watsonville/Pajaro. No one was injured, but a tow truck was requested. The incident was reported today.
     
  • South Highway 1 in Capitola/Soquel is facing closures for road excavation work. The closure will continue until 6:30 a.m. on August 29.
     

Long-term projects

These have been going on for a while, but are still worth keeping in mind.

  • A single lane on Sims Road, from Brook Knoll Road to 600 La Madrona Drive, is closed today from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. due to a pipeline project. Traffic control measures are in place to manage vehicle flow.
     
  • Richmond Drive and Portola Drive at 24th Avenue will have traffic delays and lane closures today from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. due to the Rodeo pump station capacity upgrade project. Construction also took place on April 12-13 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day.
