The Seymour Marine Discovery Center, UC Santa Cruz’s public museum and aquarium, has expanded its days of operation for the rest of the season.
To accommodate summer visitors, the Seymour Center is now open daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Aug. 4. After that date, the museum will again be closed on Mondays.
In addition, guests who ride their bikes to the museum and show the front desk their helmets will receive $1 off admission until Sept. 30.
The Seymour Center has added new features recently, including an augmented reality experience with the facility’s 87-foot blue whale skeleton, Ms. Blue, and a larger jellyfish tank. Longstanding attractions such as the touch-a-shark tank and docent-led tours remain available.
