A section of Aptos Beach Drive will remain closed this week for construction crews to finish emergency repairs to about 60 feet of damaged sewer line.

The project began on Monday, Oct. 6, and includes a full closure of the area between Highland Drive and Martin Drive, lasting until Friday.

Hours of operation are from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and residents will be let through to their properties during work hours.

While the project is underway, residents and businesses within the area should expect disruptions such as noise, dust, temporary traffic control and detours and associated traffic delays. Additionally, sewer service to properties in these areas could be temporarily interrupted, meaning that residents in the affected areas will be asked to limit their sewer usage.
