  2. Not too much of a nighthawk these days? Moe’s Alley’s Sunday afternoon shows — this time featuring the amazing Coco Montoya — could be your jam.
  3. The 2020 CZU fires were a historic marker in this community. It’s only right that we gather, mourn and remember. 
  4. I say the trombone has been overlooked and undervalued for far too long, and I’m betting fans of the great Fred Wesley are on my side on this one. 
  5. If you want to go deep into the cultural roots of traditional Mexican folklórico dance, this way to the rabbit hole.
  6. So, uh, we can’t really call this a, y’know, recommendation. But you should know two things you might not want to know: The Testicle Festival is here, and it’s a food festival
  7. Every day between now and the end of August (except Monday), fine theater is going down at The Grove. Have you done your Shakespeare yet this year?
  8. It’s called “Tokyo Hot Tub Party,” but technically, there is no hot tub. It’s more a pre-Burning Man exercise in groove, at Woodhouse Brewing. 
  9. “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” is the improv monster that will never die, and thank goodness. The guys you recognize from TV come to the Civic.
